RedWeek processes all rental payments securely once the owner approves your booking request. Understanding how payment and billing work helps ensure a smooth and predictable booking experience.
When You Are Charged
You are only charged after:
1. The owner approves your booking request
2. RedWeek verifies the reservation
3. Your payment is successfully processed
Submitting a booking request does not charge your card.
What Your Payment Includes
Your total payment may include:
- The full rental price set by the owner
- RedWeek’s service fee
- Applicable taxes collected at checkout
These amounts are shown clearly before you complete payment.
Resort Fees and Deposits
Some charges are collected directly by the resort and are **not** included in your RedWeek payment. These may include:
- Resort or usage fees
- Parking fees
- Local or occupancy taxes
- Guest certificate fees (certain vacation clubs)
- Refundable security deposits
All known fees are listed on the rental posting when available.
Accepted Payment Methods
- Major credit cards
- Debit cards (bank permitting)
- Select digital payment options (availability may vary)
Payment Processing & Security
RedWeek uses secure, encrypted payment systems. Owners never receive your payment information.
If Your Payment Fails
If your card is declined:
- Your booking may be canceled
- You may need to submit a new booking request
- RedWeek will notify you with next steps
Name on the Reservation
The guest name must match:
- The name in your RedWeek booking
- The government-issued ID presented at check-in
If your name changed recently, notify RedWeek immediately.
Refunds
Payments are generally non-refundable because timeshare rentals are final once confirmed.
Refunds are only reviewed when:
- A significant reservation issue occurs
- The resort or owner changes the booking in a material way
(See “Renter Cancellation Policy” and “Refunds After Your Stay.”)
Disputing a Charge
If you believe a charge is incorrect:
- Review your booking confirmation and fee breakdown
- Contact RedWeek before disputing with your bank
(Bank disputes can delay resolution and may void policy coverage)
Summary
Your payment confirms your rental and locks in the timeshare week. RedWeek protects your payment and your reservation from the moment it is processed.
