Timeshare rentals on RedWeek are final once confirmed. Since owners reserve fixed weeks in advance and resorts often restrict changes, cancellations are generally not permitted after booking.
Before Booking
Please review all details carefully before submitting a booking request:
- Dates
- Resort policies
- Unit type
- Fees and taxes
- Traveler name (must match ID)
Once booked, changes are extremely limited.
After Your Booking Is Confirmed
Once your payment has been processed and the reservation is confirmed:
- The cancellation policy in your rental agreement applies.
- Dates cannot be changed
- Unit types cannot be modified
- Credit cannot be issued for future travel
If You Cannot Travel
If you are unable to travel for any reason (including illness, emergency, or schedule changes):
- Let us know, however, the rental is not likely to be able to be modified.
- Refunds outside the cancellation policy in your rental agreement cannot be expected
- Travel insurance (if purchased) may provide coverage depending on your policy terms
RedWeek cannot override resort or owner restrictions on cancellations.
Travel Insurance
Make sure you purchase travel insurance when booking, to help cover fees that would otherwise be non-refundable. Review the policy carefully for what is covered. Claims must be filed directly with the insurance provider.
What If the Owner or Resort Changes the Reservation?
If the owner or resort makes a significant change to your reservation:
- File a dispute immediately at https://www.redweek.com/dispute so RedWeek can review the situation
- RedWeek will determine available options based on policies
- You will be notified of next steps
A major change may include:
- Wrong unit type
- Incorrect dates
- Resort refusing check-in despite proper documentation
Minor variations common to timeshare stays do not qualify.
No-Show Policy
If you do not plan to check-in on the first day of your reservation, you need to notify RedWeek in advance. If you do not check in on your scheduled arrival date, most resorts will consider this a no-show and:
- The reservation is forfeited
- No refund is available
- RedWeek cannot reopen or modify the booking
Summary
Timeshare rentals differ from hotel bookings—inventory is fixed and tied to the owner’s reservation. Once confirmed, bookings are final and mostly non-refundable, unless otherwise specified in your rental agreement.
Please ensure your travel plans are firm before booking.
