RedWeek previously offered two ways to create a rental posting: DIY (Do-It-Yourself) and Full-Service. RedWeek now uses a single, streamlined posting experience that includes support throughout the process. This article explains the difference so you understand how the current system works today.
What Was DIY Posting?
DIY Posting allowed owners to:
- Create and manage their listing entirely on their own
- Handle their own renter communication
- Coordinate reservation details directly with the renter
This option is no longer offered. RedWeek no longer supports direct communication between owners and renters.
What Is Full-Service Posting?
Full-Service Posting is now the foundation of the RedWeek rental experience. RedWeek:
- Reviews your posting for accuracy
- Manages all renter communication and inquiries
- Handles booking requests
- Provides you with the guest information needed to update the reservation
- Supports the renter throughout their stay
How Posting Works Today
All rental postings now follow a streamlined, RedWeek-managed process. This includes:
- Creating your listing
- Submitting reservation verification
- Receiving booking requests
- Updating the reservation with your resort (owner responsibility)
- RedWeek managing all communication with the renter
Why the Full-Service Model Is Better
- Reduces risk and confusion for both parties
- Ensures consistent communication
- Provides verified booking details
- Keeps your personal information private
- Offers RedWeek support throughout the rental
What Owners Need to Do
Your main responsibilities are:
- Providing accurate posting details
- Submitting verification documents upon request
- Updating the guest name with your resort after booking
RedWeek handles the rest.
The updated process gives you wider exposure, reliable support, and a smoother experience from posting through payout.
